This interview was released by Blaize to QueerMagnet.com on February 12, 2006.

My name is Blaize I'm a Showgirl "Entertainer"! I have many Interest both inside and out of entertaining crowds around the world! One of my favorite hobbies is creating my very own costumes. Growing up as a artist has also given me the great privilege to have many costume designs at hand. I also enjoy meeting all the fabulous"Fans" and fellow "Entertainers" in the business of female Impersonation. Truely hope to meet everyone in the entire time of my career.

1. How long have you been performing?

I have been behind the scenes for seven years (back up dancing and pageant work). I have been entertaining crowds as a showgirlfor Five Years. During the duration of being behind the scenes it has gave me much knowledge and expereince to incorprate what I learned into my very own style entertainment today. Traveling to many us states and foriegn countries as well so much of the different styles and techniques from many big names in the business lay within my own form of entertainment.

2. Who are your role models and did you have a Drag Mother?

Very nice question and (I do get this quesation alot) since I have been compared to most of or all of my role models. My most cherished role model is the very lovely and legendary "Sable Chanel" I admire her for just about everthing ( Professionalism, style and her stage persona)! I have never had a "drag mother" I've always just listened and took notes...I suggest all newcomers to apply this if you don't currently have a "drag mother".

3. Where did you get your start in the world of Drag?

<>Georgia and New York. Over 10 years ago I Traveled around the globe and was very much into the club scene I guess you could call me at the time a"Club Kid" I dabbled in to the "costumes" and of course makeup and from there eventuley came the entire Showgirl experience thatI currently produce on strage today.

4. What sets you apart from other entertainers?

With the witness of many great names in the business I have always strived to also fallow there footsteps and at the same time set a new standerd for newcomers and beyond to all witness as well...I place alot of this with being a 'True Proffesional" and a savvy business minded entertainer. My theory is not only make it worth your time but everyone elses as well after all this can be very profitable career if you make it one! Im a prime example if you place alot of hard work into what you do it will pay off in the end!

5.Congrats on your 1st runner up spot to the Dragtastic OnlineEntertainer of the Year. How did you feel when it was announced that you had the 1st runner up spot?

Thank You so Kindly... When I was first nominated out of eighty national contestants then did I realize who my fans where as the emails and phone call's had started rolling with such kind words and positive responces. I had then sat back and thought how important this experience may prevale for me and took steps to make sure it was worth my time by setting forth a powerhouse of promotional work such as both online and offline posters, flyers etc. When I recieved the confirmatoin from the editor of "Dragtastic.com" that I had placed 1st runner up with competing with other entertainers such as "Wendy Williams" I was floored and excited and knew that even due to the fact I was not the winner that my work had payed off and it was every bit worth my time and of course my supporters.I look forward to also running next year!

6.Have you done any other pageants?

I have not yet competed in any pageants however I currently have a couple big future goels ahead of me such as National "EOY" and of course my dream crown of "Miss Universal Show Queen" both systems represent all I stand for in the business and I hope one day to be able to bring home both crowns!

7.What is your favorite song to perform?

Being a showgirl I have many songs I love and admire but my all time favorite is the theme song from my website "Fantasy" by Black Box! The words to this song speak to me and my audeince.... Its what Im representing a "Illsusion" and some cases a "Fantasy"!! When I travel to city to city I always bring the costume to this song as I always have a fan asking me to perform this.... I love this Song!!

8.Where do you get all of those fierce headpieces and costumes that you wear?

I spend countless hours making everthing I wear! I have also learned everything on my own from making a headress to sewing a gown it has all came from within me! I credit this gift from "God" as most of my very own talent is being creative! This also is one of my biggest enjoyments of this business and of course making a audeince member smile!

9. What advise can you give new girls trying to make a break in the business?

Listen, Listen and listen some more!! Try to set new positive standerds and never be afraid of change and being creative with your own style!! Take a little peice from all your favorites and roll into what you can call your very own! Be honest and always be yourself... this will open many positive doors in your career!Always remember what you put into it will always pay off in the future!

10. What is your favorite place to perform?

In all my travels both east and west coast I would have to say my home state of "Georgia" the old saying goes your home is where your heart is and my heart is in that audeince in Georgia....granted I love all my fans no matter where I step onstage however there is something special in "Georgia" that can not be described!

11. If you could change one thing about the current Drag Scene today, what would it be and why?

"POLITICS" we could all live without it! It only makes our cummunity divided and also seem smaller than it already is.

12. What can we expect from Blaize in the future?

Being a very creative entertainer and person there are many upcoming and planned surprises in the future or yet to be annouced!I cannot not tell all of them as they are what they are meant to be surprises... but as of current I have a mini summer tour simply labeled "Fire & Ice" in current production and I also plan on hitting the road even more thru out the rest of 2005-2006 so to all my fans, freinds and supporters be on the look out for this "Showgirl" coming soon in a city near You!
